The reconstructed Sculptures of the Brooksbrücke Hamburg, Bronze 2001-2006

The Brooksbridge was inaugurated as the mainbridge to Hamburg´s loft town 1887 The sculptures of the bridge were destroyed in the Second World War. 2001 Jörg Plickat got the commision to renew the sculptures. The task was not easy because the bridge and the area of the lofttown are listed as cultural heritage. Together with the monument conservation there was made the concept to make the sculptures recognizeable a reconstructions but to make evident the relation in proportions and stile  to other bridges and the architecture of Hamburg´s loft city
